Billing
The Ohio State University Medical Center’s Executive Health Program will work with you to facilitate the billing process. We are able to offer three billing options to our executives:
Corporate Contract
A contract is signed in which the corporation agrees to be financially responsible for all services rendered within their designated Comprehensive Physical Evaluation. A global fee is established for the corporation based on the number of executives eligible for the service, their age and gender, and the specified examination protocol. Under this billing option, no charges will be submitted through the executive’s insurance plan.
Corporate Contract with Insurance
Many corporations choose to use their medical insurance coverage for the payment of the Comprehensive Physical Evaluation but do not wish for the executive to be responsible for the co-payments or balances due. In this billing option, the corporation agrees to be financially responsible for all balances after payment is received from the insurance provider. Executive Health will track the insurance billing process, gather all balances due, and create a global bill to be paid by the corporation.
Insurance
All charges for the Comprehensive Physical Evaluation are submitted by the individual billing services, to the executive’s personal insurance provider with the balance billed to the individual. All charges are the financial responsibility of the executive. We strongly encourage the executives to contact their insurance provider to discuss benefits unique to their plan.
When utilizing your medical insurance for payment of services, there is a process
that occures related to your bill. Your insurance company will be billed directly
and you may receive a summary letter from the hospital outlining the charges
billed to your insurance company. This letter is not a bill. After your insurance
company pays their obligated amount, the remaining balance will be billed to
you.
In addition to your hospital bill, your insurance company will receive separate
bills from your physician and other professional services depending on the tests
or procedure you received while at Executive Health. These bills come directly
from the provider. After your insurance company pays their obligated amount,
the remaining balance will be billed to you.
For additional information related to the billing processes, please read the
billing information provided on the Medical Center website or contact us at
